At Betty, sustainability isn’t an add-on. It’s the foundation of everything we do—from the materials we source to the way we produce, package, and ship every pair of tights.

We believe it’s time for fashion to do better. And we’re committed to making that happen, step by step.

1. Smart Materials: Less Waste, Better Impact

We craft our tights using recycled polyamide—made from production waste and surplus nylon from other fashion brands.
Instead of creating new, petroleum-based materials, we repurpose what already exists. That means fewer carbon emissions, less water waste, and reduced landfill overflow.

2. Responsible Production: Made in Italy with Integrity

We manufacture all our tights in small, family-run ateliers in Northern Italy—renowned for their craftsmanship and innovation in hosiery.

  • Solar-powered workshops: Most of our factories run fully on solar energy

  • No mass production: We produce only what we need, minimizing overstock and textile waste

  • Worker-first values: Our partners guarantee fair wages, ethical working conditions, and local hiring

  • Proximity = lower footprint: Producing in Europe (not Asia) reduces transport emissions and aligns with our primary markets

3. Built to Last: Why Quality is Sustainable

Most tights are made to be disposable. Ours aren’t.
We spent over 6 months developing a pair that’s 10x more durable than the average pair of tights. Fewer rips mean fewer replacements—saving you money and reducing overconsumption.

4. Packaging with Purpose

The fashion industry has a packaging problem. So we did things differently:

  • No plastic wraps: Instead of single-use plastic, each pair comes in a handmade pouch

  • Upcycled & reusable: Our pouches are crafted from deadstock fabrics—perfect for storing makeup or jewelry

  • Minimal waste: Every detail, from materials to finishes, is considered with the planet in mind
